International Course
First Year Field Trip

Every year, the International Course students take a field trip to a site of cultural importance in the Tokyo area. The aim of the field trip is for students to become accustomed to moving together as a group and to experience a historical site that most of them have only read about. The students have to answer basic questions about the site by searching for answers at the site, and they have a short quiz when they return.
This year, the students visited Kamakura. They saw the Great Buddha Statue and Hase Kannon Temple. They also visited Engaku Temple, Kencho Temple, and Kotoku Shrine. All of the students had an enjoyable time while learning about Japanese history firsthand. It was an experience that the students will never forget.
